This policy explains what Tarot Decoded collects, why, and the choices you have. In short: what you add stays on your phone unless you choose to sign in, we don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
1. What stays on your phone
These are stored on your phone and are not sent to us unless you sign in:
- Your journal entries, notes, moods and saved readings.
- Your learning progress, game results and streak.
- Your setup choices, such as your daily goal, reminder time and settings.
- Your name if you add one, and your birth date, time and place. Your birth chart is calculated on your phone.
2. If you sign in
Signing in is optional. If you do, we store your email address and the information listed above in your account so it can be backed up and restored on another phone. We use a trusted cloud provider to host it, which processes it only for us.
3. If you buy Premium
Purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see your card or payment details. We receive a record of your purchase (for example, which plan and when it renews) through a service that manages subscriptions for us, linked to an anonymous ID or to your account if you are signed in.
4. Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, it is scheduled on your phone. You can change or turn it off in the app’s settings or your phone’s settings.
5. Camera
If you use “Scan your cards”, the camera is used to recognize the cards in front of you. Images are processed on your phone and are not stored or sent to us.
6. What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or rent your personal information.
- We don’t use it for advertising or share it with advertisers.
- We don’t track you across other apps or websites.
7. Who we share with
Only the service providers that help us run the app (cloud hosting for accounts, and subscription management), under agreements that limit their use of it to working for us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect people’s safety or our rights.
8. How long we keep it
Information on your phone stays until you delete it or the app. Account information is kept while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete its information within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep something longer.
9. Your choices and rights
- See and export your journal from Settings, and delete entries at any time.
- Edit or remove your birth details in Profile.
- Delete your account and its data from the app, or by contacting us.
- Depending on where you live (for example, in the EU, UK or California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or move your information, and to object to some uses. Contact us to make a request; we will not treat you differently for doing so.
10. Children
Tarot Decoded is not meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encryption when it travels to and from your account. No method is perfectly secure, so please also keep your phone protected with a passcode.
12. Where information is processed
If you sign in, your information may be stored and processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate, with appropriate protections.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If the changes matter, the app will tell you and ask you to agree again. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
14. This website
On tarotdecoded.app you can join our launch list or send us a message. If you join the launch list, we keep your email address to tell you when Tarot Decoded is available. If you send a message, we keep your name, email address and message so we can reply. We don’t use this information for anything else, we don’t sell it, and we’ll delete it if you ask us at support@tarotdecoded.app. Our website host processes it only for us.
